FEATURED: TITANIUM NITRIDE COATED MALE POPPET. We've taken the time to coat the male poppet end with Titanium Nitride (Ti-Ni). Persistent coupling and decoupling along with inevitable particulates getting between the couplers leads to scratches and abrasions. These inconsistencies will eventually lead to a poor seal, resulting in leaks and loss of pressure.Ti-Ni coatings are usually used on drill bits and high speed steel to solve the problem of abrasion, so we decided to coat the business end of our male couplers with it. Also, we think the gold looks pretty slick. TEMCo's flat face hydraulic couplers use the ISO 16028 standard, which replaces older ag coupler standards that result in hydraulic oil spillage and added debris in your hydraulic system. Our couplers are machined out of carbon steel and plated with Zinc Nickel (Zn-Ni), which offers corrosion resistance, as well as an extra layer against normal wear and tear. Each coupler is pressure tested with hydraulic oil right off the factory line.
Each individual coupler comes with its own removable bright red form-fit rubber cap attached to the coupler body, adding an extra later of protection against debris ingress. TEMCo's flat face female couplers also come with a knurled collar that interfaces a fixed ball. When rotated, the collar is locked into place - a safety feature to prevent accidental decoupling to your application.
Rotate the knurled collar on the female coupler so that the ball and indent in the collar are misaligned. Doing so will prevent the collar from being pulled back, which disengages and releases the female coupler from the male coupler.This feature ensures a safe working environment. To disengage the coupler, simply rotate the collar into alignment and pull the collar back away from the opposing male coupler. If it doesn't fit. Or you just changed your mind.

Titanium Nitride, often used for high speed steel drill bits, provides a longer wear life and proper seal after persistent usage.
